NaSA GOddard’s contribution to Launch America
Role: Lead producer, video editor, social media engagement, and project management
NASA Goddard Space Flight Center manages the Near Space Network, which allows spacecraft and astronauts to remain in constant communication with groups on Earth. As humans explore further into space, we rely on continuous communication between spacecraft, astronauts, and ground stations. NASA and its commercial partners sent the first humans to space from U.S. soil with the Launch America program.
The goal of the social media campaign was to spark curiosity in space communications by explaining its significance and newsworthiness in a digestible, casual, and accessible way and to generate meaningful interactions between NASA experts and the audience.
Audiences were able to engage with NASA experts about space communications and Launch America on Instagram, Twitter, and Facebook.
